Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a tractor-trailer combination to transport goods and materials over long distances, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition and to identify any potential issues.
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  • Monitor and maintain the vehicle's condition, including fuel levels, tire pressure, and brakes.
  • Communicate with dispatch to receive and relay information, including cargo details, hours of service, and fuel consumption.
  • Record and maintain accurate records of cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Ensure the safety and security of cargo and the vehicle, adhering to all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Participate in regular vehicle maintenance and repairs, as needed.
  • Collaborate with other drivers and transportation staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
Requirements
  • AZ class license and Air Brakes Endorsement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with others.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
