About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Support Specialist to join our team at GeologicAI Inc. as a Geological Engineering Support Technician. This is a permanent position that requires a strong background in computer systems and geological engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to users in response to identified difficulties, including giving access to computer networks and reporting on the performance of computer systems and networks.
  • Consult user guides, technical manuals, and other documents to research and implement solutions, and provide advice and training to users.
  • Collect, organize, and maintain a problems and solutions log for use by other technical support analysts, and participate in the redesign of applications and other software.
  • Supervise other technical support workers in this group, and provide business systems, network, and Internet support to users.
  • Set up equipment for employee use, performing or ensuring proper installation of cables, operating systems, or appropriate software, and provide customer service.
  • Manage incidents, and have a strong understanding of computer and technology knowledge, including Internet, desktop applications, file management software, programming software, mapping and data visualization software, database software, software development, Python, and SharePoint.
Requirements
  • Willingness to travel, and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and repetitive tasks.
  • Physical demands include standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling, and attention to detail.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
