Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Specialist to join our team at Green Diamond Equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic Specialist, you will be responsible for performing complex diagnostics, service repairs, and maintenance work on customer and/or dealer-owned John Deere turf equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform complex diagnostics and repairs of mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge.
  • Rebuild and install small components on equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on a variety of John Deere Equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in the field as required.
  • Disassemble and assemble new equipment.
  • Use technical manuals to troubleshoot problems.
  • Support customer clinics.
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitive products.
  • Maintain the condition of vehicles, inventory, tools, and equipment.
  • Maintain a clean work area and perform work in a neat and orderly fashion.
  • Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
  • Complete all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments.
  • Account for all time and material used in performing assigned duties.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience performing service repairs.
  • Experience in automotive repair or as a mechanic preferred.
  • Ability to perform complex repairs and maintenance using special tools and equipment following technical manual procedures.
  • Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems used in the repair of turf equipment.
  • Excellent skills in operating vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting schematics.
  • Ability to use computers.
  • Comfortable using email and various software for communication and workflow processes.
  • Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
  • Valid driver's license required.
