We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Technology Sourcing to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading Bank-wide Technology Sourcing and project activities while working closely with senior business unit leadership and other sourcing leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Lead Technology Sourcing Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve quality of services.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with IT leaders, business unit leaders, and sourcing leaders to understand business needs and develop effective sourcing solutions.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure timely delivery of services and products.
- Drive Cost Savings: Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve efficiency through strategic sourcing and procurement practices.
- Develop and Implement Best Practices: Lead the development and implementation of best practices in sourcing initiatives to drive business value.
- Manage Category Spend: Oversee category spend within and across business segments to ensure effective management of supplier relationships and cost savings.
- Track Sourcing Initiatives: Monitor and track sourcing initiatives to ensure effective strategy development, market assessments, RFP processes, contract and supplier negotiation, and supplier management.
- Establish Strategic Relationships: Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key suppliers to drive business value and cost savings.
- Proactively Manage Risks: Identify and mitigate risks associated with supplier relationships and sourcing initiatives.
- Support Business Growth: Contribute to the growth and development of the business by identifying opportunities to improve processes and drive cost savings.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in management, business, or related field; master's degree in business or engineering, CIS, science, or finance an asset.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-10 years progressive sourcing experience.
- Certifications: CPM (Certified Purchasing Manager) preferred.
- Skills: Global sourcing experience, including technology services-related expertise; ability to bridge communications between sourcing, IT, business, and legal stakeholders; excellent change-leadership and conflict resolution management skills; excellent stakeholder management skills and comfort in speaking with senior leaders; knowledgeable in financial services and regulations; ability to comprehend complex technical and financial issues; strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills; ability to develop collaborative working relationships with global stakeholder groups; knowledge and experience with state-of-the-art procurement and analysis technologies; knowledge and understanding of emerging IT and related architecture.
