Job Title: Heavy Duty Cleaner

As a Heavy Duty Cleaner with FirstService Residential, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of our properties. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will ensure that our residents and guests have a positive experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Clean and service restrooms, including restocking supplies and ensuring proper hygiene.
  • Sweep, vacuum, and mop floors and stairways to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Remove rubbish and waste materials by hand or with the use of powered equipment.
  • Report any needed repairs, safety hazards, or conditions requiring outside vendor services.
  • Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces using treated dust mittens, cloths, or hand-cleaning items.
  • Perform grounds and parking lot maintenance, including litter removal and snow removal.
  • Load and unload supplies, and move heavy furniture and equipment using dollies, handcarts, or power equipment.
  • Replace light bulbs and fuses as needed.
  • Assist in the moving of garbage bins when required.
  • Maintain and clean the compactor room.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools, and equipment of the janitorial service.
  • Knowledge of the proper use of chemicals, fertilizers, and pesticides.
  • Ability to follow instructions and operate janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge of building and property security procedures.
