Physician Recruitment Specialist

Touchstone Institute is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving healthcare competency across individual practice. We work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare providers to assess and improve the level of competency in their work.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Physician Recruitment Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for utilizing existing contacts with physicians in rural and Northern Ontario to support the development of our Physician Recruitment Officer program.
Key Responsibilities- Engage physicians in rural communities to recruit designated assessor sites for our Physician Recruitment Officer program.
- Develop and implement a strategic recruitment strategy to ensure a continuous pipeline of qualified physician assessors.
- Screen physician assessors through phone interviews and application materials to gauge eligibility.
- Manage a contact list in coordination with our PRO team and coordinate strategic outreach with our PRO Implementation unit and Ontario Ministry of Health.
- Work closely with our PRO Implementation team to onboard qualified physician assessors.
- Support the recruitment of physicians to act in committees and as regional leads.
- Provide recruitment progress reports to our Director, Program Design and Implementation.
- Experience as a Physician Recruiter with an established network of physicians in rural and northern Ontario.
- Familiarity with medical education and registration pathways for internationally trained physicians.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Demonstrated experience in effective recruitment strategies/campaigns in a like program at a provincial or territorial level.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a range of clients in various northern Ontario communities.
- Post-secondary education from a health sciences program or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a medical assessment recruitment role.
