About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Cash Register with accuracy and efficiency, handling cash, cheques, and credit/debit card payments.
  • Process Transactions quickly and accurately, ensuring all sales are processed correctly and efficiently.
  • Stock Shelves and Clean Counter Area to maintain a clean and organized store environment.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving any issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Monitor Entrances and Exits to ensure all customers are making purchases and to prevent shoplifting.
  • Participate in Promotional Activities to drive sales and increase customer engagement.
  • Verify Customer Age when selling lottery tickets, alcohol, or tobacco products.
Requirements
  • Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate or equivalent.
  • 1 to Less than 7 Months of experience in a retail environment.
  • Ability to Work in a Fast-Paced Environment with a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
  • Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
  • Basic Computer Skills to operate a cash register and process transactions.
Work Environment

This is a permanent, full-time position with a 30-40 hour workweek. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.

Language

The primary language of work is English.
