Job Title: Commodity Broker

At Taiga Building Products, we are seeking a highly skilled Commodity Broker to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers and suppliers, driving market penetration, and identifying opportunities for growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute strategies to drive market growth and penetration
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers
  • Identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth and expansion
  • Provide exceptional customer service and support
  • Manage inventory turnover and aged inventory
  • Make profit-based decisions based on market analysis and trends
  • Prepare and present reports and analysis to senior management
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in lumber trading and/or buying
  • Proven track record of delivering superior customer service
  • Strong relationship-building skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to meet and exceed performance targets
  • Microsoft Office proficiency
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
