Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator/Sales Support to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be the vital link between customers, shippers, receivers, and trucking companies, ensuring smooth and efficient logistics operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Communicate effectively with customers, shippers, receivers, and trucking companies via phone and email to coordinate logistics operations
  • Obtain competitive rates for the sales team and book loads efficiently to maximize operational efficiency
  • Dispatch carriers and determine hours of operation for shippers and receivers to ensure timely deliveries
  • Update shipment statuses, track and trace shipments, and maintain accurate records in the dispatch system
  • Maintain data entries and collect Proof of Delivery (PODs) in a timely manner to ensure record accuracy
  • Prepare and deliver reports for sales representatives and managers, providing insights into logistics performance
  • Assist the sales team with day-to-day operations, including after-hours and weekend telephone and email support
  • Contribute to annual RFPs and perform additional tasks as assigned to support overall operations
Requirements
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with logistics management software such as LoadLink and HubSpot
  • Proven experience in delivering outstanding customer service with strong communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Exceptional multitasking skills with the capability to analyze data and make quick, informed decisions
  • Minimum of 2 years of dispatching experience; experience in logistics management is preferred
  • Understanding of LTL and FTL shipment sizes, types of equipment required for various freight, and geographical knowledge within North America is an asset
  • Familiarity with ACE, ACI, CTPAT, PIP, FAST, CSA, and HAZMAT regulations
