Job Summary

Avro Transport Inc. is seeking a skilled Welder Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of metal fabrication and welding services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Examine and Inspect Welds: Conduct thorough examinations of welds to ensure they meet industry standards and specifications.
  • Operate Manual and Semi-Automatic Equipment: Safely operate manual and semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment, brakes, shears, and other metal shaping and bending machines.
  • Metal Fabrication and Repair: Fit, braze, and torch-straighten metal to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.
  • Welding and Brazing: Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products, and operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or fill holes, indentations, and seams of metal.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing, and soldering equipment.
  • Work Environment: Work in a fast-paced production environment with a focus on quality and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English language proficiency.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
