About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team at First Student Canada-Transco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet of school buses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on school buses, including preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and annual MTO maintenance inspections.
  • Diagnose and repair complex vehicle and equipment issues, including brakes, suspensions, drivetrains, and transmissions.
  • Ensure work orders are completed accurately and efficiently.
  • Assist with mobile emergency services as needed.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Holds a T license.
  • Possess a mechanic's tool set.
  • Willingness to participate in ASE certification program.
  • Possession of Z license.
  • Air brake endorsement an asset.
