Position: Reliability Maintenance Engineer
Engagement for a temporary on-site role.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Deliver technical assistance for mechanical upkeep of Upgrader and Refinery units.
  • Diagnose equipment performance challenges, mechanical issues, and failures utilizing Analytical Trouble Shooting (ATS) and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) techniques.
  • Create technical specifications for maintenance interventions and replacements involving both stationary and rotating machinery.
  • Provide technical guidance for capital enhancement projects and equipment upgrades related to stationary and rotating machinery.
  • Advise on preventive maintenance approaches to guarantee the reliability of plant equipment.
  • Support the Asset Integrity team by performing fitness-for-service evaluations of stationary equipment and formulating repair strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess legal eligibility to work in Canada.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer registered with APEGA or APEGS, or completion of a Technologist's Diploma with ASET or SASTT designation.
  • Over 8 years of experience in a reliability or maintenance engineering capacity involving stationary and/or rotating machinery.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a heavy industrial processing environment.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of relevant codes and standards for the design, inspection, and repair of stationary and/or rotating equipment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with welding processes, procedures, and heat treatment. CWB Welding Inspector certification and experience with ASME Section IX will be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of common materials utilized for stationary and rotating equipment in Upgrader and/or Refinery settings.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Possession of a valid Class 5 driver's license.
  • This role is safety-sensitive and subject to Drug and Alcohol policy requirements, including pre-assignment testing.
