Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Childcare Specialist to provide nurturing care in a home setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the well-being and development of children in the absence of their parents.

Qualifications
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Previous experience in childcare is an asset.
Work Environment
  • Non-smoking household.
  • Work will primarily take place in the employer's home.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assume full responsibility for the household during the parents' absence.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Shop for food and household supplies as needed.
  • Accompany the family on trips, assisting with child supervision and household duties.
  • Wash, iron, and press clothing and linens.
  • Provide bathing, dressing, and feeding for infants and children.
  • Discipline children according to parental guidelines.
  • Instruct children in personal hygiene and social skills.
  • Maintain records of daily activities and health information.
  • Ensure a safe and healthy environment for children.
  • Organize engaging activities such as games and outings.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals.
  • Prepare children for rest periods.
  • Supervise and care for children at all times.
  • Transport children to and from school and appointments.
  • Attend to the emotional well-being of children.

  • Must pass a criminal record check.
