About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Construction Laborer to join our team at Oneness Home Construction Inc. as a Construction Worker.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loading and Unloading Materials: Assist in loading and unloading construction materials, such as lumber, drywall, and roofing materials, from trucks and equipment.
  • Erecting and Dismantling Forms and Scaffolding: Help to erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades as needed.
  • Mixing and Pouring Materials: Assist in mixing and pouring materials such as concrete and asphalt for various construction projects.
  • Performing Routine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance work on construction equipment and tools, including cleaning and lubricating machinery.
  • Removing Debris and Rubble: Remove rubble and other debris from construction sites, and assist in cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants.
  • Tending to Equipment: Tend to or feed machines or equipment used in construction, such as grinders, saws, and drills.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months of experience in a related field.
  • Work Environment: Work outdoors, at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy, dusty, and hot environments.
  • Work Setting: Work at various locations, including construction sites.
  • Physical Demands: Physically demanding work requiring manual dexterity, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Equipment and Machinery Experience: Experience with equipment and machinery such as reciprocating saws, circular saws, concrete saws, grinding machines, grouting machines, jackhammers, air compressors, air guns, nail guns, drills, chain saws, sledgehammers, and hand tools.
  • Construction Specialization: Residential construction specialization.
  • Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, team player, hardworking, and ability to work 40 hours per week.
