Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Investment Performance Analyst. As a key member of our Securities Valuation team, you will be responsible for managing the valuation of investments and funds managed by Canada, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the valuation of investments and funds, including ABOR, IBOR, Custody, Asset Owners, and regulatory reporting support.
  2. Conduct periodic business reviews to identify and manage risks, and implement remedial actions as necessary.
  3. Communicate effectively with team members, department heads, and senior management to ensure alignment with team, department, and division goals.
  4. Develop and implement solutions to overcome roadblocks and improve business processes.
  5. Support diversity and inclusion initiatives by promoting a diverse workforce and educating employees on the benefits of diversity.
  6. Provide regular reports to senior management and participate in executive meetings as required.
  7. Ensure staff have clear lines of reporting, authority levels, objectives, and progress is reviewed regularly.
  8. Establish and monitor systems of control, limits of delegation, and escalation procedures to ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
  9. Manage the activities of individual contributors, supervisors, and outsourced functions to achieve results in terms of costs, strategies, and employees.
  10. Monitor projects to ensure completion on schedule and within budget.
  11. Establish and oversee the development of a risk culture within the business and ensure business line accountability for risk management.
Requirements
  1. Competent to Expert with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Finance or a related field.
  2. 8-10 years of related experience, including previous experience managing staff.
  3. Proficiency in the use of Excel, Access, and Macros preferred.
  4. Understanding of financial instruments and capital markets preferred.
