About the Role
Mackenzie Health is seeking highly skilled psychiatrists to join our team in various specialties, including inpatient, outpatient, geriatric, and child and adolescent psychiatry. As a psychiatrist with Mackenzie Health, you will work in consultation with our Chief of Psychiatry and other physicians to provide exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients to diagnose mental health disorders and develop effective treatment plans.
- Manage patients throughout their hospital stay, including ordering treatments, tests, and consulting with specialists as needed.
- Prescribe and administer medications to treat various mental health and behavioral disorders.
- Provide on-call services and flexibility to cover other services as needed.
- Prepare and submit case reports and summaries for Ministry of Health reporting criteria.
Requirements
- Medical Degree (MD) and Fellowship in the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Psychiatry.
- Registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario.
- Preferred candidates would possess 3 to 5 years' experience in psychiatry.
