Exciting Role for Ice Skating Coach

The City of Mississauga is on the lookout for a committed individual to fill the position of Ice Skating Coach. In this role, you will be tasked with instructing group ice skating sessions for participants ranging from young children to adults at various local arenas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct participants in fundamental to advanced skating techniques in groups of 4-10
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during instructional sessions
  • Develop and present lesson plans for review with the Lead Coach or Supervisor
  • Implement HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development in your teaching
  • Deliver outstanding customer service to participants, their families, and volunteers

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Background in Figure Skating, Hockey, or Recreational Skating
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities
  • Capability to collaborate effectively within a team
