Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Warehouse Manager to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our warehouse, ensuring efficient inventory management, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and control the operations of our commercial facilities, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Identify customer needs and develop strategies to meet those needs, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Oversee the preparation of reports and statistics related to areas of responsibility, providing insights and recommendations to improve operations.
  • Assess client needs and resources to recommend the appropriate goods or services, ensuring alignment with our business objectives.
  • Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Direct the maintenance and repair of our establishment's machinery, equipment, and electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Plan, organize, and direct administrative services such as signage, cleaning, maintenance, parking, safety inspections, security, and snow removal, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Resolve product and service-related problems, providing timely and effective solutions to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize and maintain inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of stock levels and movements.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role, with a strong understanding of inventory management and control.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
