Preston Park I Retirement Residence is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Personal Support Worker.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will provide personal care and services to our residents, working under the supervision and direction of the Director of Care/Shift Supervisor or designate.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care and services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as eating, toileting, and mobility.
- Support residents with their basic life skills, such as cooking and cleaning.
- Work cooperatively with other team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop skills and knowledge.
- Meet the requirements for a current PSW certificate and have a genuine interest in and concern for seniors.
Requirements:
- Current PSW certificate.
- Genuine interest in and concern for seniors.
- Experience in retirement or long-term care desirable.
- Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Ability to learn and apply basic life skills through on-the-job training.
- Received at least two (2) doses of a Health Canada approved Covid-19 vaccine.
