Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crew Truck Operator to join our team at Canadian Plains. As a key member of our oilfield construction team, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and positive work culture while embodying our commitment to quality products and services for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facility Construction Projects
    • Participate in the construction and maintenance of SAGD facilities, ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Core Accountabilities
    • Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices, promoting a culture of safety within the team.
    • Complete Task Hazard Assessments, Drivers Logs, and review Job Site Assessments to ensure all work is conducted safely and efficiently.
    • Operate 3-5 ton picker trucks, telehandlers, skid steers, and AWP, ensuring all equipment is used in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
    • Load and unload construction materials and equipment for transporting to work locations, following applicable safety securement protocols.
    • Communicate work progress and safety performance to the site supervisor, ensuring all stakeholders are informed.
    • Maintain all equipment and tools in good and safe working condition, reporting any findings to the lead hand.
    • Manage and perform general housekeeping and daily clean-up of work areas, ensuring a safe and healthy working environment.
    • Participate in daily toolbox meetings, staying informed of all work activities and safety protocols.
    • Load and inventory job van trailer, ensuring all equipment and materials are properly secured.
    Requirements
    • Qualifications and Experience
      • Minimum 2-3 years mechanical facility experience, preferably in the oilfield construction industry.
      • Valid Driver License with a clean driving abstract, ensuring safe transportation of personnel and equipment.
      • H2S Alive certification, demonstrating a commitment to safety and compliance.
      • Standard First Aid certification, ensuring the ability to respond to emergencies.
      • Ability to work under minimal supervision, while adding to a safe and positive team environment.
      • Flexibility to work an adjusted shift schedule if required, ensuring the needs of the team are met.
      • Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, demonstrating resilience and adaptability.
