The Role: Security Application Specialist / Penetration Tester

This position is ideal for seasoned penetration testers who possess software engineering expertise.

Become a vital member of our Security team, responsible for assessing the status of features and products. You will independently strategize, execute, and meticulously document penetration tests in accordance with industry standards.

  4. Proactive Threat Analysis: Develop threat models for proposed features, providing valuable insights and recommending defensive strategies.

Your Contributions Will Include:

  1. Vulnerability Management: Collaborate with external partners to replicate reported security vulnerabilities, working with R&D teams to devise and implement solutions.
  2. Automated Vulnerability Evaluation: Validate findings from automated vulnerability assessment tools, ensuring precise identification of vulnerabilities and reducing false positives.
  3. Manual Security Testing: Conduct manual penetration tests utilizing a blend of manual techniques and automated tools to ensure comprehensive security evaluations.
  4. Developer Education: Mentor and train developers on best security practices, creating and delivering engaging training materials as needed.

We Seek a Candidate Who Has:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in application penetration testing and software engineering, preferably with enterprise software/systems using languages such as C#, Java, Ruby, Go, Python, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in crafting detailed penetration test reports tailored for both executive leadership and development teams, including prioritization and mitigation recommendations.
  • Strong familiarity with the OWASP testing guide, showcasing proficiency in understanding and applying industry-standard security practices.
  • Knowledge of various web frameworks and technologies, including JavaScript, XML, SOAP, and JSON.
