About the Role:
The Drayton Valley Hospital and Care Centre is a leading healthcare facility that provides high-quality patient care. As the Site Lead Pharmacist, you will be responsible for providing clinical expertise and leadership to the pharmacy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage medication therapy for patients, including initial and ongoing management.
- Provide assessment, intervention, and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems.
- Oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
- Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Additional Prescribing Authorization (APA) from the Alberta College of Pharmacist.
- Experience with project management and committee work.
- Demonstrated self-directed learning and continuing education.
- Demonstrated good time management, including ability to switch priorities and multitask.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, good organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work both independently and in a team environment.
