About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Metro Air Ltd. As a key member of our engineering department, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Assist in the preparation of design drawings, specifications, and technical documents for mechanical installations and construction projects.
  • Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests of mechanical installations and construction projects to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
  • Tooling and Fixture Design: Design and develop tools, moulds, jigs, and fixtures to support the manufacturing process.
  • Cost Estimation: Estimate costs and materials required for mechanical projects.
  • Project Management: Assist in the management of mechanical projects from conception to completion.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of 5-10 people to ensure the successful completion of mechanical projects.
Requirements
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a mechanical engineering or related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
