Overview:
The Regulatory Compliance Business Analyst serves as a crucial link between business units and the EMR Project team, ensuring that information systems operate seamlessly in line with organizational policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Translate business needs into clear objectives.
- Collect and evaluate business requirements for designated projects.
- Assist in the formulation of technical specifications and facilitate knowledge transfer between technical teams and end-users.
- Collaborate effectively with various teams, user groups, IT departments, vendors, and regulatory agencies.
- Work alongside the IT Systems Analyst and other IT personnel to pinpoint software for upgrades, new implementations, and conversions.
- Review and create training materials, coordinating training sessions and workshops.
- Support the development and execution of project management strategies, processes, and guidelines.
- Partner with IT and business users to design test cases and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Develop, manage, and update documentation, prototypes, and workflow solutions using SharePoint and MS Teams.
- Assist the project manager in collecting and relaying status updates from project participants to ensure adherence to timelines and milestones.
- Generate reports for third-party applications and software as needed.
- Engage with business units to identify needs and necessary modifications to processes and systems through data analysis.
- Oversee detailed phases of business requirements, identifying, tracking, and resolving issues.
- Contribute to the formulation of program plans and manage assigned projects in consultation with the manager and team members.
- Participate in the orientation of staff, students, and volunteers as required.
- Act as the primary contact between business units, IT, and project leads.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-year diploma or degree in Business or Information Technology with a focus on Business Analysis.
- Project Management diploma is an asset.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a business setting.
- Familiarity with SharePoint is advantageous.
- Strong organizational, planning, time management, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments simultaneously.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
- Advanced proficiency in both oral and written English is essential; proficiency in French is an asset.
Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle with appropriate insurance to fulfill occasional position requirements. A satisfactory police reference check is required as per agency policy. Completion of the Ministry of Labour's "Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps" training is mandatory.
