Job Summary

As a Deli Associate at Walmart Canada, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for our customers. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining a clean and organized deli area, assisting with stocking and sales of goods, and providing support to front-end associates with price checks.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Zoning the department to ensure a well-organized and visually appealing display of products.
  2. Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high level of product freshness and quality.
  3. Ensuring merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  4. Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy environment for customers and associates.
  5. Taking orders for deli department merchandise, slicing and preparing products such as meat, cheese, and fried chicken, and providing requested assistance to customers.
  6. Providing support to front-end associates with price checks and ensuring accurate and efficient processing of transactions.
  7. Preparing deli food orders, including meat, cheese, and other products, using slicers, stackers, and other utensils, and filling prepared salads and side dishes for placement into display areas and specialty orders from customers as required.
  8. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment, free of fixtures, unnecessary debris, foreign objects, and liquids, to ensure a safe and healthy working environment for associates.
