Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Meat Associate to join our team at Walmart Canada. As a Meat Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring that our meat and seafood products are properly stocked and displayed, and providing exceptional customer service to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Zoning the department to ensure efficient stock rotation and product placement.
  • Rotating stock and checking for expired products to maintain a high-quality product offering.
  • Ensuring that merchandise is properly signed and priced to prevent errors and discrepancies.
  • Adhering to standards and policies for cold chain compliance, thermometer calibrations, temperature recording, food handling, product rotation, sell-by dates, and expiration dates to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Providing assistance to customers with their meat and seafood needs, including slicing and preparing merchandise, and taking orders for deli department merchandise.
  • Following proper procedures for ordering, clearance, markups/markdowns, signing/flagging/pricing/labels to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
  • Preparing deli food orders, meat, cheese, and utilizing slicers, stackers, and other utensils to provide high-quality products to our customers.
  • Following Health and Safety guidelines to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will also need to be able to lift up to 25 kg and stand for long periods of time.
