About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team at On-time Freight Inc. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mountain Driving Expertise: Utilize your expertise to navigate challenging mountainous terrain and ensure safe transportation of goods.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from our trucks, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Perform Brake Adjustments: Perform regular brake adjustments to ensure the safe operation of our trucks.
  • Perform Emergency Roadside Repairs: Respond to and perform emergency roadside repairs to minimize downtime and ensure safe transportation.
  • Perform Pre-Trip, En Route, and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the safe operation of our trucks and adherence to all relevant regulations.
  • Perform Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular preventive maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of our trucks.
  • Tarping and Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo by properly tarping and securing it during transportation.
  • Transport and Handle Dangerous Goods: Safely transport and handle dangerous goods, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Will Train: We are willing to train the right candidate, so no prior experience is necessary.
  • Permanent Employment: This is a permanent employment opportunity with a regular schedule.
  • Language of Work: English is the primary language of work.
  • Hours of Work: 35 hours per week.
