Job Summary:
Georgian College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as a Part-time Professor in the Veterinary Technician Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering courses in a dynamic and engaging manner, while fostering a positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum to meet course objectives
- Deliver courses in a variety of formats, including in-person and online
- Evaluate student progress and achievement
- Participate in program and college activities as required
- Engage students through active learning techniques and real-world experience
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Registration as a Registered Veterinarian Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)
- Minimum of five years' experience working in a clinical practice setting with emphasis on companion animals
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to lifelong learning
- Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching and Training Adults certification
- Experience in curriculum development, engaging delivery strategies, and adult learning methodologies
