Job Summary:

Georgian College is seeking a highly qualified and experienced professional to join our team as a Part-time Professor in the Veterinary Technician Program. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering courses in a dynamic and engaging manner, while fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality curriculum to meet course objectives
  • Deliver courses in a variety of formats, including in-person and online
  • Evaluate student progress and achievement
  • Participate in program and college activities as required
  • Engage students through active learning techniques and real-world experience

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Registration as a Registered Veterinarian Technician with the Ontario Association of Veterinary Technicians (OAVT)
  • Minimum of five years' experience working in a clinical practice setting with emphasis on companion animals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to lifelong learning
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment and to foster the same in students

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Teaching and Training Adults certification
  • Experience in curriculum development, engaging delivery strategies, and adult learning methodologies
