Payroll Supervisor Job Description

The Dufresne Group is seeking a skilled Payroll Supervisor to oversee payroll processes and procedures, supporting the payroll team with daily administration.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify payroll entries and ensure accurate and timely processing.
  • Work with the team to ensure payroll compliance and accuracy.
  • Conduct bi-weekly payroll verification for all companies and locations.
  • Ensure accurate payment of wages to team members within legislative frameworks.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation from the Canadian Payroll Association.
  • Minimum of five years related payroll experience and 1 year benefits administration experience.
  • Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of balancing General Ledger Accounts for payroll.
  • Experience with remittance of source deductions & payroll related payments.
  • Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiencies utilizing Office applications with an emphasis on Microsoft Excel.
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while working with minimal supervision.
