The Sawridge Inn and Conference Centre, located in Edmonton South, Alberta, is seeking an exceptional Housekeeping Manager to oversee our housekeeping operations. As part of Hotel Equities, a leader in hotel development and management, we pride ourselves on fostering a culture that empowers our team to exceed expectations and enhance guest experiences.

Position Overview:

As the Housekeeping Manager, you will report directly to the General Manager and be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and service within our guest rooms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and timely cleaning of guest accommodations.
  • Review and verify the completion of cleaning tasks by checking daily worksheets and notifying relevant departments.
  • Conduct inspections of guest rooms to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of room status and communicate changes to the housekeeping team.
  • Coordinate with other departments, including front desk and maintenance, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linens, ensuring adequate stock is maintained.
  • Assist in training new staff members and provide ongoing guidance to the housekeeping team.
  • Implement safety protocols and ensure adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold company standards at all times.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting up to 15 lbs regularly and pushing/pulling equipment weighing up to 250 lbs.
  • Prolonged periods of walking and standing are required.
  • Must possess good communication skills and maintain visual acuity for inspections.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in housekeeping, with at least one year in a supervisory role.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Experience in the hospitality industry is desirable.
