We are seeking a skilled Framing Carpenter to join our team at Sentry Roofing & Siding Ltd. as a key member of our construction crew.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for framing and finishing projects.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
- Develop and implement efficient layouts for framing and finishing projects, using measuring tools and equipment.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Schedule and coordinate work on sites to meet project deadlines and ensure smooth project execution.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Estimate costs and materials for framing and finishing projects to ensure accurate budgeting and project planning.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- 3-4 years of experience in framing and finishing carpentry.
- Valid driver's license to travel to job sites.
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in noisy and dusty environments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with team members and clients.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor and handle heavy loads.
- Reliability and punctuality to ensure timely completion of projects.
