Job Title: Healthcare Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Support Worker to join our team at Harmony House. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our residents.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment, as well as assisting with meal preparation and serving.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment and surfaces
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
  • Assist with mobility and transfers, as needed
  • Document resident care and progress
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Healthcare Aide Certificate or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to lift 13.5 kg (30 lbs) and stand for long periods
