Overview: The Risk Framework & Policy division within Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is tasked with the design and enhancement of the firm's risk management framework, aimed at bolstering risk management capabilities across the organization. This team is responsible for defining the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Framework, which serves as the foundation for risk principles throughout the firm, ensuring all risk management policy documents are in alignment.
Key Responsibilities:- Framework Monitoring: Develop tools and methodologies to ensure compliance with the ERMF Framework.
- Policy Implementation: Drive accountability for the execution of policies and processes that align with the ERMF and satisfy external requirements.
- Stakeholder Guidance: Offer expert advice to stakeholders on the consistent application of ERMF principles in everyday risk management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various Risk and first line units to identify connections within the ERMF, facilitating quicker decision-making.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct assessments to identify gaps and propose remediation strategies across the necessary frameworks.
- Influence and Challenge: Provide credible challenges regarding the implementation and adherence to the ERMF across the first and second lines of defense.
- Documentation Enhancement: Continuously improve documentation and presentations that illustrate the connectivity of principles and standards across policies and processes throughout the risk management lifecycle.
- Senior Management Engagement: Prepare materials for discussions at the senior management and Board-level committees.
- Transformation Support: Assist in executing transformation initiatives.
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities in high-risk situations, utilizing available data, experience, and judgment.
- Proficient in managing multiple priorities and performing well under pressure.
- Effective negotiation skills with a proactive approach to communicating risk issues.
- Able to engage with various management levels across Global, Regional, and Business functions.
- Advanced skills in Project Management and Microsoft Office applications.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication capabilities.
- Over 10 years of relevant experience, preferably within the financial services sector.
- Experience in dynamic environments that demand flexibility and adaptability.
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
This position for a Senior Vice President will lead the alignment and execution of risk frameworks, policies, and procedures, engaging with key stakeholders to promote robust risk management practices across the organization.
