About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Database Architect to join our team at Charsobe Food Group Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for designing and developing our database systems to meet the needs of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Database Design and Development: Design and develop database systems to meet the needs of our business, ensuring data integrity and security.
  • Data Analysis: Operate database management systems to analyze data and provide insights to inform business decisions.
  • Data Governance: Research and document data requirements, data collection and administration policy, and data access rules to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Policy Development: Develop policies and procedures for network access and usage, and for the backup and recovery of data to ensure business continuity.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and co-ordinate teams of data administrators in the development and implementation of data policies, standards and models.
  • Requirements Gathering: Collect and document user's requirements to ensure that database systems meet their needs.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in database design and development.
  • Skills: Proficiency in database software, data analysis software, and MS Office.
  • Work Environment: Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, client-focused, excellent oral and written communication skills, organized, and a team player.
