About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Engineer to join our team at JRS Engineering. As a key member of our technical staff, you will be responsible for conducting investigations, producing reports, and undertaking design work on a variety of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed reports on building envelope condition assessments, leak investigations, and warranty reviews, outlining findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
- Assist in developing building envelope design solutions, including drafting design and construction documents, and applying knowledge of City and Municipal Building Codes.
- Conduct third-party reviews of building envelope designs for new construction and major retrofit projects.
- Assist with field reviews, investigations, contract administration, and quality assurance during all stages of consulting and new construction projects.
- Conduct window tests, air leakage tests, and other field testing.
General Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with other engineers and project managers to achieve project goals and expand knowledge base and experience.
- Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to achieve repeat business.
- Ensure services are completed in compliance with scope and company standards and procedures.
- Meet internal and external deadlines while handling multiple projects of varying priorities, complexities, and objectives.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Applied Science/Engineering and EIT designation with EGBC.
- 1 to 4 years of work experience in building science or construction.

Annual salary range – $55, to $75,
