About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team at 12474204 Canada Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation and Planning: Prepare detailed estimates of labor and material costs for construction projects.
  • Blueprint Reading and Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements and ensure compliance with building codes.
  • Site Preparation and Construction: Prepare layouts, measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials to build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
  • Installation and Finishing: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware to ensure a high-quality finish.
  • Surveying and Quality Control: Conduct site surveys to ensure building locations and levels are accurate, and inspect work to ensure quality and compliance with standards.
  • Leadership and Training: Instruct apprentices and supervise other workers to ensure efficient and safe work practices.
  • Cost Estimation and Management: Estimate costs and materials for projects, and manage budgets to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Work Environment
  • Work Setting: Various locations, including construction sites and offices.
  • Work Hours: 35 to 40 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people, with a permanent work term and English language requirements.
