We are seeking a skilled Cook to join our team at Temagami Gas Station and Restaurant. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals and individual dishes, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties efficiently and effectively.
- Order and manage inventory of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring we have the necessary resources to meet customer demand.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment and utensils, ensuring they are in good working order.
- Recruit and hire staff, ensuring we have the right people in place to meet our kitchen needs.
- Organize and manage buffets and banquets, ensuring they are executed to a high standard.
- Manage kitchen operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, and customer service.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a kitchen environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with kitchen staff and customers.
- Ability to maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
