Job Title: Early Childhood Educator Assistant

QT Daycare is seeking a dedicated and caring Early Childhood Educator Assistant to join our team. As an Early Childhood Educator Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily activities of our childcare centre, ensuring the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of our children.

Responsibilities:
  • Bathe, diaper, and feed infants and toddlers with care and attention to their needs.
  • Assist early childhood educators in planning and implementing programs that promote the development of children.
  • Engage children in activities such as storytelling, singing, and preparing crafts to stimulate their creativity and curiosity.
  • Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods to ensure a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors to track their progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Participate in staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children, ensuring a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Requirements:
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a childcare setting.
  • Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, and a team player attitude.
  • Ability to work in a non-smoking environment and relocate to an urban area if necessary.
Work Environment:
  • Childcare centre in an urban area.
  • Relocation costs covered by the employer.
  • Before and after school programs available.
Language:
  • English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
Work Hours:
  • 30 to 40 hours per week.
