Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and Pick Up Items: Safely transport and deliver messages, parcels, and other items by hand, ensuring timely and efficient service.
  • Operate Vehicles: Drive automobiles, vans, and light trucks to pick up and deliver various items and products, adhering to traffic laws and regulations.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Demonstrate professionalism and courtesy when interacting with customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and procedures.
  • Use Maps and Trip Planning Aids: Utilize maps and other trip planning aids to optimize routes and ensure efficient delivery.
  • Perform Vehicle Inspections: Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and maintenance.
Requirements
  • Class 5/5F/G Licence: Possess a valid Class 5/5F/G Licence for cars, small trucks, and other 2-axle vehicles.
  • Local Transportation Experience: Have experience with local transportation and delivery services.
  • Security Clearance: Possess a basic security clearance and be willing to undergo a criminal record check and driving record check.
  • Physical Demands: Be able to handle heavy loads and work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
