About the Role
Interfor is seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team in Timmins, Ontario. As a Millwright, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mill maintenance and kiln hot oil systems equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mill maintenance and kiln hot oil systems equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
- Install machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner, following all safety rules and regulations, and using all personal protective gear/equipment as required.
- Collaborate with the team to achieve common goals and objectives, and contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment.
- This position is scheduled to work Wednesday to Saturday from 6:00am to 4:00pm.
Requirements
- Welding experience is essential.
- Mill maintenance and kiln hot oil systems experience is an asset.
- Strong safety background and a proven track record of maintaining a safe working environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the team and other departments.
- Able to take personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work, and recognize problems to have them corrected immediately.
