About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Beaver Transportation Inc. as a Heavy Truck Diesel Mechanic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect heavy truck equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, utilizing computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions and order necessary parts to maintain inventory.
  • Adjust and repair or replace defective parts, ensuring all work meets manufacturers' specifications.
  • Keep accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other routine maintenance tasks.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks, including service attachments and working tools.
  • Verify and repair emission control systems.
Work Environment

The successful candidate will work in a physically demanding environment, requiring attention to detail, manual dexterity, and the ability to handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Permanent employment.
  • English as the primary language of work.
  • 35 hours of work per week.
