The Hungry Pooch is a dynamic and growth-oriented company seeking a highly skilled Retail Store Manager to join our team at our LaSalle location.
We are a local Windsor-born company and Southwestern Ontario's fastest growing retailer of natural pet food and holistic pet products, with three retail locations, an e-commerce website, and home delivery throughout the region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage store operations to ensure a positive customer experience and drive sales growth.
- Lead a small team of retail associates to achieve sales targets and maintain a high level of customer service.
- Recruit, schedule, train, and supervise staff to ensure efficient store operations.
- Monitor and control inventory levels, store presentation, and visual merchandising.
- Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and customer engagement.
- Collaborate with the management team to achieve company goals and objectives.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of management/lead experience in a retail environment.
- Prior customer service experience is a must.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS systems.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Passion for animals and a willingness to learn about our products.
