Scaler Assistant

GreenFirst Forest Products is seeking a Scaler Helper to ensure quality and quantity roundwood standards are being met in accordance with company standards and existing company agreements.

• Assist Licensed Scalers in conducting sampling to ensure quality specifications meet Company standards.
• Operate the Weigh Scale Station and maintain accurate inventory records; monitor inventory levels in the yard and submit reports to the Fibre Management Superintendent.
• Conduct studies for volume tables in the yard.
• Assist Licensed Scalers in collecting data and measuring wood on roundwood deliveries, masses/volumes, weight factors as required by the Group.
• Perform administrative work and support duties.

• Previous scaling experience.
• Bilingualism (English & French) – an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word & Excel.
