About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker, Building to join our team at Rapid Ground Xpress. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our buildings and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our employees and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and tidy environment.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Window and Surface Cleaning: Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and well-maintained appearance.
  • System Maintenance: Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our employees and visitors.
  • Moving and Handling: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform other routine maintenance jobs such as painting and drywall repair.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, kneeling, and other physical activities may be required.
Personal Suitability
  • Reliability: We are looking for someone who is reliable and can work with minimal supervision.
  • Work Term: This is a permanent position.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Hours: The working hours are 32 hours per week.
