About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiologist to join our team at The Hospital for Sick Children. As a key member of our medical staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our pediatric cardiology program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Treat Heart Conditions: Conduct thorough examinations and diagnose a range of heart conditions in children and adolescents.
  • Develop Treatment Plans: Collaborate with patients and their families to develop personalized treatment plans, including medication, surgery, and other interventions.
  • Conduct Research: Participate in research studies to improve our understanding of pediatric heart health and develop new treatments.
  • Supervise and Mentor: Supervise and mentor junior medical staff, including residents and fellows, to ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Stay Up-to-Date with Best Practices: Stay current with the latest advances in pediatric cardiology and incorporate best practices into your work.
Requirements
  • Education: A degree in medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, or optometry is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years of experience in pediatric cardiology is preferred.
  • Certifications: Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Certification Examination and licensure by provincial or territorial authorities are required.
