NDE Inspector - CGSB RT-2 Certified (nuclear sector)

Hourly compensation: $47.73

We are seeking qualified candidates for the position of NDE Inspector - CGSB RT-2 Certified (nuclear sector).

Key Responsibilities:

The primary responsibility is to execute all duties of a General Inspector and conduct non-destructive examinations based on the certifications held.

Specific Duties:

  • Conduct NDE activities in accordance with certifications across all shop areas.
  • Interpret and analyze documentation.
  • Generate inspection reports and maintain accurate records.
  • Adhere to safety protocols.
  • Exhibit high-quality workmanship and practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety.
  • General Inspector qualifications.
  • NDE certifications from a recognized authority, such as CGSB, AWS, or CWB.
  • Must possess MT CGSB-2 AND PT CGSB-2 AND RT CGSB-2 PLUS two of the following six:
    • CEDO
    • UT CGSB-1
    • RT CGSB-1
    • Two years as a Fabrication/Machining inspector within BWX Technologies;
    • Five years as a Fabrication/Machine inspector with documented evidence from an external organization or five years of Fitting/Welding experience within BWX Technologies;
    • Certified Weld Inspector (AWS-CWI or CWB2).
  • Proficient in computer usage.
  • Willingness to work various shifts:
    • Weekday days: 6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Monday – Thursday) OR
    • Weekday afternoons: 4:00 p.m. – 2:00 a.m. (Monday – Thursday) OR
    • Weekend days: 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday; compensated for 40 hours) OR
    • Weekend afternoons: 5:00 p.m. – 4:00 a.m. (Friday, Saturday, Sunday; compensated for 40 hours)

  • Prior experience in a heavy manufacturing environment or in the nuclear power sector.
