About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a full-time General Surgeon to join our team at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital in Sydney, Nova Scotia. As a General Surgeon, you will be part of a 6-physician team and will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients and cases.

Responsibilities

As a General Surgeon, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing inpatient and outpatient care to patients
  • Consulting with other physicians and healthcare professionals
  • Performing surgical duties, including endoscopy
  • Participating in on-call duties with a 1/6 ratio
Qualifications

To be eligible for this position, you must be certified or eligible for certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia. You must also satisfy the credentialing requirements of the Nova Scotia Health Authority.
