Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables to ensure accurate production.
- Repair and maintain machine tools and parts to optimize equipment performance.
- Set up and adjust production machinery and tools to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Maintain, repair, and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate measurements.
- Document and report deviations from specifications and tolerances to ensure quality control.
- Maintain inspection records and complete inspection reports to track production quality.
- Verify dimensions of parts machined using precise measuring instruments to ensure accuracy.
- Set up and operate conventional and computer-controlled machine tools to produce high-quality parts.
- Verify dimensions of products for accuracy and conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
- Visually inspect products for quality to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Set up and dismantle equipment to ensure efficient production.
- Select and transport material to the work area manually or using a crane or hoist.
- Review work orders to determine job specifications and requirements.
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Enter codes specifying speed, feed, and cut of the toolpath for computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools.
- Move products using a forklift, crane, or hydraulic hoist to ensure efficient production.
- Grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
- Program CNC machine tools to optimize production efficiency.
- Set up equipment for scheduled production to meet quality and efficiency standards.
- Determine materials required to ensure efficient production.
- Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
