Azure Cloud Solutions Architect

CB Canada is in search of an Azure Cloud Solutions Architect to join our team within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cloud architecture strategies for Azure, contributing to the centralized Architecture repository.
  • Provide guidance to project teams regarding Azure technology options, advantages, and associated costs.
  • Work closely with central centers of excellence to establish and promote best practices.
  • Integrate emerging Azure or Open-Source technologies into the Cloud Service Catalogue.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of Cloud architectures and Architecture Decision Records.
  • Engage in weekly coordination with the Cloud Project team to assess and prioritize new requests.

Essential Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in designing solutions within the Financial Services sector or a related field.
  • Extensive knowledge of Azure technologies.
  • Strong communication abilities.
  • Proficient in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Expertise in architecting for system resiliency.
  • Familiarity with architectural methodologies.
  • Experience with Kubernetes in Azure and various configurations.
  • Knowledge of Kafka and/or Event Bus architectures.
  • Experience with Power Platform and/or Databricks.
  • Proficient in Java Spring coding.
  • Ability to develop cost models and identify opportunities for cost optimization in the Cloud.
