About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Systems Manager to join our team at McDonald's Corporation. As a key member of our Quality Systems team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality across our restaurant network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Safety Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support to internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with Public Health and McDonald's internal food safety requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Lead the relationship with vendors, testing, and deployment of new food safety programs, as well as managing existing programs such as Third-Party Restaurant Audits and Digital Food Safety.
  • Project Management: Proven experience in project management, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in managing projects related to food safety and quality.
  • Analysis and Reporting: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food safety and quality.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including restaurant operations, supply chain management, and quality systems, to ensure seamless execution of food safety and quality initiatives.
  • Training and Development: Develop and deliver training programs to restaurant staff and other stakeholders to ensure they have the necessary knowledge and skills to maintain high standards of food safety and quality.
  • Compliance and Regulatory: Ensure compliance with Canadian Public Health regulations, Safe Food for Canadians regulations, and Food and Drug Act and regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in food science, nutritional science, or equivalent.
  • Certifications: Public Health Food Handler and Inspection certifications an asset.
  • Experience: 5 years of experience in the food and/or foodservice industry, preferably with pre-requisite or food safety systems.
  • Skills: Fluency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Power BI/dashboarding, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint. Strong analytical, reporting, and conceptual ideation skills. Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization, including executive leadership.
